Conveyancing Costs

The cost of buying or selling your residential property is outlined here, so that you know the costs before you start.

We believe it’s best to talk through your circumstances in person, so please do call a member of our conveyancing team for a personalised no-obligation quotation.

At Dickins Hopgood Chidley, we share our residential sale and purchase costs in a clear, easy to understand format, to ensure you’re aware of the likely fees and expenses involved.

Our conveyancing charges are based on a fixed fee, so you can be certain of the price you’re paying for our services and are able to budget for this within your moving costs.

The fees we charge cover all of the work required to complete the sale or purchase of your property, however, please note that our fees are based on certain assumptions, and may increase if unforeseen complications arise.

  • “Julian, thank you very much for your services. It has been a pleasure to work with you and your efficiency and permanently being ‘ahead of the game’ made the whole procedure very trouble free for us.

We have been in [our new home] for nearly a month now and are very happy with our purchase and move.

Many thanks again – we will not hesitate in recommending you.”

  • Ms. Denness was extremely forward-thinking and professional in every step of the conveyancing for purchasing my property.

She anticipated all the shortfalls of my seller’s solicitors, and went over-and-above her own responsibilities, making phone calls to ensure that all their paperwork was complete and in good order for the agreed completion date.

Her communication was always reassuring and kept my mind at rest. We completed as agreed, even though my seller’s solicitors were sluggish and quite uncooperative.”

  • “I would like to take this opportunity to express my thanks for your work on this sale, even when the situation was not so clear from the buyer’s side, you left me in no doubt that you had everything under control – thank you. I will not hesitate to recommend you and your office should anyone ask.”
