Christopher Chidley
Christopher Chidley qualified as a solicitor in 1973 and
with Victoria and Julian established Dickins Hopgood Chidley in
Hungerford in 1996. Christopher is the firm’s Commercial and
Company Law specialist and concentrates on areas including
Business Sales and Organisation, Joint Venture Agreements,
Commercial Contracts and Employment Law. Christopher is also a
Licensed Insolvency Practitioner and advises other insolvency
professionals, acts in connection with disputes involving
wrongful trading, disqualification and other insolvency
litigation.
Victoria Hopgood
Victoria qualified as a solicitor in 1988. She originally
worked in Newbury before moving to Hungerford in 1996 to set up
the firm Dickins Hopgood Chidley with Julian and Christopher.
Victoria has specialised in Commercial Property since qualifying
as a solicitor. She has also considerable experience of all
aspects of Residential Property. Victoria’s practice has
extended to advising on Wills, Trusts and Probate which enables
her to provide a comprehensive service to private clients of the
firm.
Julian Dickins
Julian qualified as a solicitor in 1983. He practised in Newbury
until setting up Dickins Hopgood Chidley with Victoria and
Christopher in 1996. Julian deals with all kinds of property
work including: Residential Sales and Purchase, Remortgaging,
Property Development and Plot Sales, Property Financing and
Security Work, Planning Advice, Shared Ownership Leases and
Tenancy Agreements.
Carina Denness
Carina has a degree in law and has worked for a number of years
as a conveyancing executive joining DHC in 1999, having moved
from Newbury. Carina specialises in general residential domestic
conveyancing and relocation work. She has considerable
experience of Sales and Purchases, Remortgaging, Shared
Ownership Leases and Relocation Agreements for employers as well
as chain-breaking companies. She keeps herself up to date of all
changes in conveyancing so that she can assist clients with a
swift and efficient house move.
Lesley Clay
Lesley Clay has been qualified as a solicitor for 25 years. She
has a wide range of experience in private practice, industry and
as a sole
practitioner in England, Northern Ireland and in the United
States. Lesley enjoys working for the firm because it enables
her to deal with a variety of different aspects of the law but
at the same time dealing mainly with matrimonial work, the area
that interests her most. She hopes that her friendly and
conciliatory manner will work well with the less aggressive
approach to divorce, as encouraged by Resolution. Lesley is a
member of 'Resolution'.
Amanda May
Amanda joined Dickins Hopgood Chidley in 2007 as part of the
Wills and Probate team. Amanda qualified as a solicitor in 1977
and has wide experience, including other areas of legal practice
and running her own company. Her broad practical knowledge
enables her to offer a comprehensive service including Wills,
Trusts, Inheritance Tax Planning, Powers of Attorney and
Probate.
