Having qualified as a solicitor in
London, Richard moved to Pitman & Bazett
in Newbury in 1976 where he practised as
a partner until that firm merged with
Penningtons in 2001. He continued as a
partner with Penningtons who merged with
Thomas Eggar towards the end of 2007. In
June 2008 he joined Dickins Hopgood
Chidley LLP in Hungerford.
After more than 30 years practising as a
solicitor and a Notary Public in West
Berkshire, Richard has developed an
exceptionally broad practice in business
and private client work and is featured
in the 2008 edition of Legal Experts.
Richard specialises in industrial and
residential site development,
landowners’ co-operation agreements and
advising commercial and agricultural
businesses. For individuals he has
experience in trust and probate matters
and Wills as well as helping the elderly
with Lasting Powers of Attorney and home
equity release schemes.
